Mass Effect 3 for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

This game is at its best when your interacting with the characters and trying to make the story go down how you want it to. There are plenty of epic gun fights and that's another strong aspect of this game. Sometimes, near the end of the game, there's so much going on that you'll be battered around so much you won't even know where the fire is coming from. Sometimes you'll be shot while behind cover and even worst you stick to cover when you don't want to. It's things like this that make the action portions seem somewhat cheap and frustrating. The story doesn't feel as strong as Mass Effect 2's story either.. There's the infamous fail-ending and there isn't as much characterization in this game. Most likely because in Mass Effect 2 was mostly spent introducing and building up characters, so I won't fault it for that. Also near the end of the game the slow down gets pretty noticeable. Once in the while the game will freeze for a few seconds.

Seems like I'm bashing this game pretty bad, but its actually a good game. A lot of the action pieces are enjoyable and the RPG elements make this game. The visuals and sound are both impressive. There's still an overwhelming amount of stuff to do in Mass Effect. Its an extremely long game with tons of side missions.

I am new to the Mass Effect trillogy, so I don't have a comparison with the other 2, but I think this game is great. It has a very good mixture of story line and game play.
