Mass Effect 2 is one of the best games I have ever played. I was amazed with the amount of detail that is provided in this game which makes you better appreciate the economics, politics and culture of a galactic society in the 22th century.
I really enjoyed the combat system. I played the game as an adept and I really enjoyed using the different abilities on the many enemies I found throughout the game. The game is very versatile when it comes to deciding how you fight. The six different classes can suit all tastes whether you want to shoot at all times or prefer a more stealth-oriented gameplay.
The game is massive. It took me over 50 hours to play though the game. The side quests are well thought out and quite fun to complete.
The ability to make choices throughout the game makes the game entirely yours. You will be frequently given options on how to deal with a situation. These decisions can be quite difficult however. There is a lot of ethical issues that you may want to consider before making a decision. Your party members will constantly remind you of the implications of your decisions. Sometimes the decisions will have little impact, but there are at least two situations in which your decision can have an impact on the entire galactic society.
One of the problems I had with this game is that the leveling system is a little too linear and too simplistic. You don't have that many skills to develop and the choices of how you expand your abilities are a bit limited. I must point out though that I played as an adept which heavily relies on their abilities rather than on guns so someone who plays as a soldier who relies more on weapons may not feel the limitation of abilities so much.
I definitely recommend this game. I just recommend people not to rush through the game. It is obvious the developers spent a great deal of time and resources pulling this masterpiece together. Rushing your way to the end won’t give you the chance to fully appreciate the game.

Awesome game. Combat was fluid and rarely boring. The only downfall is the game could stand to be a little longer. But overall phenomenal.

I don't own a 360 and when I first heard mid last year that the title Mass Effect 2 was becoming available to the PS3 I was very excited. Now after playing consistently for nearly 3 days also while possessing Demon Souls as well as saboteur (forgot I even had those titles) its become clear why Bioware has been on top of their trade when it comes to delivering great entertainment. The amount of detail, the flawless voice casting, and the all round gameplay of Mass Effect is without the lack of a betting word amazing. I am a huge fan of Dragon Age but the action elements of wielding a gun come to the console more naturally than a sword. This is one of several titles i sought to play when it released this year. The next releases June 21 and that is a coop title between squar-enix and obsidian DUNGEON SIEGE 3! I have a feeling that even when it releases I will continue to remember Mass Effect 2 and most likely return to play it again and again.
