I really enjoy playing this game. The actual card game is a blast to play once you learn the trickier rules that make up the VS. system. What made me give this game such a low score is the fact that to experience the online card battles you have to pay, as in REAL MONEY, for the cards you use. While this keeps the quotient of players with uber decks gained in the single player game low, it keeps other people from playing at all. Secondly, expect to mulligan your first hand and restart entire matches frequently in the beginning. The starter deck you are given has very few 1 cost characters to begin matches with and the CPU opponent has an entire army of them, once you lag behind in the beginning it can be downright frustrating to even try to catch up. Finally, the text is rather small and you cannot zoom in to see any of the card art, in my eyes really defeating the purpose of putting the card art in the game at all.

If you are willing to put in a good 2 hours to learn the game and beat the first couple of opponents (depending on your draws) its worth a rent. Definitely not a purchase because EA style microtransactions are ruining gaming today!

Being new to the VS System Trading card game having never played the actual card game, I really enjoyed learning how to play it on the PSP. The game is complex enough to not be too easy but it gives you some really good tutorials to learn how to play. In no time I was winning my first match. Learning the ins and outs of building your own deck involves a lot of strategy, you can't just fill it up with you favorite cards and expect to win. You must be able to have the right cards to even expect to compete with the computer or players online. The cards could have more detail like their real life counterparts but what is there is just fine. All you really need to know are the cards details. The effects during the battles add alot to the game that won't see playing at a table. Overall this game should appeal to new players and veterans alike.

Now if they would only make a DC Comics Trading card game....

Yes, it's not all that but it is ok to play it's a take turns based game with some storylines added to it. they could have made it more interetsting with more cineamatic events or better action scenes with the fighting cards or even made them into 3-D characters while fighting idk just some suggestions on what could have happened but didn't
