Even with the new ones out, Mario Party 4 still takes the cake as the best.

Pros:
Booksquirm. You'll see.
A good variety of fun minigames.

Cons:
Boardgame is still slow paced and not that much fun.

Mario Party 4 can be seen as primarily a showpiece to the Gamecube, and the game sticks to this. The Gamecube is the best for multiplayer party games, and follows with an introduction to changes from the N64 to the Gamecube; However, the lack of Items is prevalent to those who have played the later mario parties. The games items also lack usefulness. The mini mushroom can allow you to explore a different section of the board, but rarely is there a use for it. The positive about this game is the innovative minigames, which can be fun and challenging. Also this game does sport a high replayability even with the single player story mode, which you will play over and over again. All in all, I liked this game. It shows the fun aspects of the Gamecube and is alot of fun single or multiplayer. Call up a friend and play this one, just don't spend alot of money on this bargain bin find.
