If this is an improvement over the first one, it deserves a 10, period. The first one burst the cherry on my wrist, making it the first wii game the required hard work (aside from wii sports, then heetseeker) in muscles that have never been used in gaming. This one rocks.

I was really excited to find a marble game that uses the balance board, however, I was disappointed to find out that only a few levels use the balance board. The game has a separate section for the balance board (about 30 levels), however, to unlock things you must play using the Wii remote. You cannot unlock anything playing the balance board levels. I would have liked if the whole game was balance board compatible!

The levels that are balance board compatible are fun but there are not enough levels. The non-balance board levels are challenging, but do not require the activity that I have come to expect from the Wii. This turns out to be more of a sit on your butt game.

If you like this type of game where have to collect stuff by moving an object through obstacles, then I guess it's a fine game.
You can't use the wii fit board in all sessions.
I wish it was more "original", like instead of having to move a ball through an artificial maze, the maze could actually be something realistic like a trail in a wood, a bridge, a mountain trail, a pile of garbage, or something like that.

Surprisingly really good...

As an adult gamer, I actually really enjoyed this game from start to finish.

The balance board was a nice feature, and will get you off your butt, but it simply didn't have enough levels.

Compared to its previous game "Marble Madness", You get nearly twice the size of a game in this one. There's tons of content and unlockables that will keep you entertained.

Even for a mature gamer, the levels are pretty challenging. Know that your patience and persistence will be put to the test in this game.

I give two thumbs up, even though the game gets a bad overall rating--for some reason.

Sizzling desert=level of pain!

I initially thought this was alright-controls moved fluidly and didn't stutter-until I got to the "sizzling desert" or something like that. There was one level where you had to turn the controller totally upside down to roll on the top of the "map" if you will. It was at this point that it became apparent that they didn't beta-test this part of the game at all. The camera started flipping to keep track of the ball because there was a wall nearby-but the controls would reverse when the camera did! So, I would tilt the controller forward, the camera would turn around and send the marble rolling back toward the wall! Then I would tilt the controller back, and the camera would turn around on me again, seemingly at random, causing me to once again, butt up against the wall, which would make the camera flip back so I could see the ball, or worse, send me falling off the path! So basically, the controls would literally reverse direction at random times during this level (and possibly other levels-I pretty much stopped playing) which made that level almost impossible to complete. I can't believe such an obvious failure in the programming would actually be in the final design of the game. What could have been a great game is ruined by badly designed controls/camera relationship.

This is one of the most boring games ever. I don't know how they can sell this game. I am glad I didn't buy it just feel bad we wasted the time to have it sent out when we could have been playing something way better like Mario! Almost as bad as Katamari Damacy. If you like a boring game go ahead and get this one.

This Actually Is The Worst Game Ever!

Forget the NES's Deadly Towers or Wonderboy (also made by Hudson), Marble Saga is by far the worse game ever made. Just imagine twisting your arm in all kinds of positions to control not a ball, but the board it's sitting on. Very similar to RARE's software on the Super Nintendo, circa 1994. I played for one hour and have to wait four days for a new game - bad choice!
