How many baseball games are out for the DS? Well this is the first I am aware of. I was waiting for awhile for this game to come out when it was announced, so I got it right away. To my disappointment this is a "DSI" game release and anyone failure with DSI games know they stink! This latest effort is no different. Game play is very slow it takes 5 seconds from selection of the pitch to when pitcher and his clunky animation throws it. The batter stands like a lifeless and stiff statue as he waits for the pitch. All of the ballparks are the same, that's right, only one one stadium. The teams are left to being white for home team and grey for away, no team font names or numbers on the uniforms. I'm surprised they got the skin color right. The game controls fine, but why does every game maker find the need to use touch screen for something. To select the pitch by touch screen is pointless. On the upside the display on both screens is decent and lets you know where the action is for the most part. The graphics are very flat and lack any detail. Basically the only colors you see are white, gray, black, brown and green. I wish I rented this game before buying it.

Horrible

Worst baseball game I've ever played

I had this game for 2 days before shipping it back.

Baseball on Atari = better
Baseball on NES = way better.

The game has horrible graphics. I wasn't even worried about what the game looked like, and this still ended up bothering me.

Pitching and hitting is on the bottom screen. Once the ball is in play you have to avert your eyes to the top screen very quickly.

Pitching was ok.

Batting was horrible. The timing did not match. You had to swing early to hit the ball.

I had a hard time getting on base during games, but during home run derby every pitch was a home run. Stupid.

I would not reccomend this game to anyone. Don't even bother trying it. I ignored reviews and thought I would try it. My mistake. You were all right.
