I was expecting real big when I decided to rent this game. It turned out to be a real bad rental. The title has excessive load times.

Gameplay was wack too. The pitching mechanics was hard to master. They needed to integrate a pitching meter as seen in MLB 06: The Show and MVP Baseball. Instead they had this yellow bulls eye thing where you select your pitch location. Once you select it you press the button corresponding to the pitch type you want and you wait til the bulls eye thing to shrink down. To me it doesn't seem accurate. It doesn't entail the strength of your pitch or the movement.

Hitting in the game is TERRIBLE. Hitting inside pitches causes you to hit the ball foul most of the time. It pulls your hit to far in or to far out. It makes it not fun because you can't produce any offense. HR are usually hit just inches away from hitting the foul pole. Yeah I know a HR is a HR, but in baseball sims i've played those occurrences don't happen often.

Defense is easy to master. It's just like all the other baseball sims out there in regards to defense. But it would be nice if 2K had a better way to dive for the ball. They make it easy..press triangle to make an immediate dive instead of using the analog stick and one of the action buttons. Well, overall this game is terrible.

If you like long load times, poor controls, and sluggish response then this is the game for you!

Another software company obtains exclusive rights to professional sport, and then produces excrement(see EA's Madden for the PSP).

The only shining light is the commentary. Although it get's behind frequently.

If I'd actually bought this game I'd put a stick in my eye, thankfully I only have to send it back.

anybody whose played mvp for the psp, knows what i'm talking about. to be fair, i didn't play the title more than a few minutes, but those few minutes is what we call the selling point or impression. i'm simple, i like to pick up a baseball game and have an exhibition match. with the game, i found that you're required to pick pitchers, players for scouting reports, weather, etc...when finally getting to the game play i felt i had less control of the pitch then i did on mvp. i also, didn't like how the batters don't have the red blue square, meaning each player has different positions of strength. i was hoping that this game would be the end to mvp, but sad to say it falls too short of the game play i've come to love with mvp.
