Right away most people are turned off from the cover and title of this game. It looks like a kindergarten pokemon game. Well, in some ways that IS what it is... but in a very good way! I think any gamer that considers them diverse in there tastes should try this game and I'll tell you why: innovation and creativity. This game has it, and it brings it out in the player.
Essentially you have a monster battle game where your creature must duke it out in an arena against an opponent's. The crucial difference is in this game you get to create your own creature from scratch! With a relatively simple drawing system, you create a "doodle" that can be as silly or creative as you want. The game will automatically bring it to life in 3D with animation, stats, and combat abilities all based on how you drew your creature. The childish look of the cover is because the game has an art style to make the doodle look as it is, a living doodle. Whether you want to create a dragon, a man, or a piece of cake to fight your enemies, it's up to you. As you play you earn more colors, parts, and brushes to be more creative with. In this way you get used to the system slowly and get more creative as you have more options and see more examples from the enemies you fight.
I'll admit the battle system is extremely basic, a rock-paper-scissors match with some simple animations for each attack. This is the only reason I can't give the game a higher rating. But the fact that it's YOUR creation out there makes even a simple fight exciting. You'll cheer when your 4-legged toaster man K.O.'s the opponent and cry when a flying man with a spinning head defeats you.
I fell in love with this game before I even played it. After I showed them, many of my friends agree with me that it's sad how many people don't know this game exists.
I just ask that you give it a shot. I think there are others that will find this game as charming as I do.
