Overall a fantastic game with minor mechanical issues and bugs. None the less, Mafia II gives you the feeling and story of what it would be like to be in La Cosa Nostra. Lies, deceipt, betrayal all play in and provide the protaganist the torn emotions caught in between what has to be done and what he is expecte to do. The story pushes this game along and keeps you well informed and up to speed. Materfully crafted scripts and dialogue make playing this game more like watching a movie.
Capture the essence of the American Mafia of the era
story and script
Something about the color was not right... maybe an optional film grain would make it better. Everything was either too vivid or too dull
The cover system was hit or miss... literaly while in cover you could be hit or missed even if you appear fully concealed.
A little buggy... characters disappears, failed to go through doors, etc. Nothering game changing, just a little odd.
I definitely recommend it for a rent and a single play through.

Mafia II has a lot going for it. The awesome gunfights, boxing matches, and open world with vintage cars and original 50's music is always a plus. Great graphics and a good "wise guy" related story. Unfortunately aside from the main story and a couple side jobs there's not much to do. Its a good game to rent and but nothing that a person would want to play multiple times.
