Forget about Madden. This game is TERRIBLE!

I have been an avid EA Sports gamer for a number of years, and I was excited to get my hands on a copy of Madden NFL '13. Then I played it. Now, I wish I had saved my time and gone with NCAA Football '13 right off the bat.
For those who like to play Online Modes or just one-up Online Games, this is a GREAT game. Make no mistake about it. However, I am a gamer who loves my Franchise and Career Modes, and this year's Career Mode feels empty and boring. This from someone who will spend hours in Recruiting in NCAA Football '13.
The animations for player collisions are out and out ridiculous. The physics are akin to those ragdoll games you can find on the internet. I would watch a guy collapse after being hit and I thought he broke his back or something, and then he'd get up and be okay. It really took away from my overall experience substantially.
Really, when I look at the game physics, I am beginning to think EA Sports has gone more Arcade-like instead of realistic. Not only does it not make sense, but it can be extremely frustrating to boot.
By the time I had finished the first 3/4 of a season, I grew tired of the game and put it away. Then, shortly after that, I tried NCAA Football '13 and never looked back. Madden was shipped back within a day of playing NCAA. Here's to hoping '14 is a better iteration for Madden than '13 was. If not, I suspect their sales will continue to slump heavily.
