Title says it all. While the commentary is much better (no Colinsworth = huge improvement), it's very limited when players switch teams. The gameplay is closer to NCAA, which in my opinion is much better/more fluid.
That said, the franchise mode is a mess. No drafting of teams, player tendencies and team tendencies don't work properly. Contracts are a bit messy. For what I play the game for, I wasn't overly impressed.
The game overall is decent. But the first time I saw players fall all over the place and trip over each other while the ball is dead is ridiculous. Franchise mode is completely gone. I can't even play a season quickly without having to deal with the disappointing "connected career" option. It forces you to pick as a coach or player and you have to go through menu after menu, and pages after pages just to find out simple things like who won a simulated game. NFL 2K14 is what we all need. Nuff said.
Anyone that loves football, needs this game. The new physics engine is a huge step up from prior maddens. No hit is really the same! Though it isn't perfect, as some of the physics look a bit odd at times but its good enough to keep a gamer engaged. The offline features are bland, but EA has announced that a patch will be released that will add some of the features that EA once tried taking away. Overall, I love this game and would recommend it to anyone that has a desire to watch or play American football!
