After being so disappointed by last year's awful edition of Madden, I wasn't expecting this year's edition to be worth much. While I haven't played a great deal into the franchise mode, I already see the improvements in gameplay and depth of the franchise mode. I believe this game is a step in the right direction compared to those of recent years.
I have had the game lock up on me a few times, which I am sure will be corrected soon. And while the presentation is downright amazing compared to last year's junk, I am getting sick of Chris Collinsworth's redundant broadcast. Like I said (and it's worth repeating) this year's broadcast is still heads and shoulders beyond last.
I am excited to see what they will add next year to put this game back on the level it should be. Good game, but plenty of room to improve.
It's probably just me, but this game just seems tired to me. I use to go absolutely insane for the release of the newest greatest Madden game, but that was a platform war ago and a playstation not an Xbox. The graphics were fine, the game play was there, the excitement was not. I want to pick it up and play, instantly able to have fun but I can't. All the wishing and wanting for new features I use to do have come true and I am dreadfully regretful for it. Enjoy yourself those who love it maddenly, you're doing just as you've been told to do.
I love the great new graphics and the game play is also a step forward. Although the playbook has been greatly decreased. I guess in an effort to step up graphics. I am slightly disappointed this year.
