Madden NFL 09 for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

Madden 09 looks good in terms of graphics, but still only outputs in 720p, many gamers have 1080p or 1080i capable HDTV's. The players bodies could be improved to look more real, the players name on the jersey is blurry & too small, the worst part is close ups of the fans in the stadium are blurry and look awful, but fans look ok from far away! As far as features go I still like madden 05 collectors for PS2. However, the features in 09 are the best as far as next gen versions are concerned.

First off, anyone that has rated this game high has not tried going into the online lobbies or franchise mode. This game has major freezing errors. Any attempt to enter online lobbies freezes the game. The game randomly freezes during franchise games as well as end of game highlights. One has merely to check the easports forums to see the extent of the issue.
Other gameplay is fine, when it plays. Graphics are very nice and the new features seem strong. However, the freezing issue prevents you from fully experience game. I would not recommend this game unless EA releases a major patch to address these issues.
