First off, I've never played a Madden football game before. I had no understanding of play calling or any of that stuff. I went into this game thinking it'd be fun to try and hoping it wasn't too complicated.
The thing I really liked about this game was the mini-camp. It allowed you to perfect passing and gave you tutorials of moves you could do while running (spins, jukes, etc). After playing those for a while I went onto the game.
I didn't know a lot of the reasoning for which plays to call, so I started out just letting Madden pick. I liked passing the ball more than running because it was easier. Running got more fun after practicing. Defensive play calling is something I still don't understand, but maybe that's because I don't understand that aspect of football.
Overall, I thought this game was a lot of fun and I'm definitely going to be buying it.
