Very fun game. Let me state that first. The game has many great features such as an extensive playbook and multiple modes. With that said there were a few flaws I have to point out. First, the graphics aren't the best. The are jagged and kind of... Chunky. On par with most Wii games. However if you don't care about graphics (like most Wii owner's don't) then grab this game. Second, the controls have a step learning curve. They are easy to do, and the basics are cake. But getting the fine movements down and knowing what does what and when is a little difficult to grasp. Very entertaining to learn though. Especially with friends. Third, this game will wear on your nerve. What I mean by is it seems the playbooks that you use seem to change mid downs. Meaning your still on offense, but the play you just ran is moved to a bottom section instead of where it was when you first ran it. Maybe this is just a setting I missed. I've only played maybe 6 or 7 games in franchise mode as of yet. My conclusion, if you haven't played a madden game before and have a Wii. Check this game out. If you are seasoned to the madden games you should enjoy this as well.

Well the first thing you will notice is that the controls have changed from last year. This is definitely annoying since it took so long just to get used to the wii in the first place. Once you get it down though the game is pretty fun. Graphics are just like last years with only small improvements. Multilayer is where its at.
So I got Madden 08 largely because football season was quickly approaching and I was curious to see what football on the Wii would be like. Let me say this, it's flippin brilliant!
Everything I could want is here for my enjoyment. From a very indepth franchise mode that allows me to have all the options and control I could ask for, to the very enjoyable "Hall of Famer Mode".
The graphics are not going to blow anyone away, but they are good none the less. Maybe not next gen good, but they certainly do not detract from the experience.
Hall of Famer Mode is by far the coolest thing in my personal opinion and I honestly think if EA fleshes out what they are doing with the stuff that happens to your player outside of the football field, it could be outstanding. Already, the way it draws me in and makes me feel as though I am actually in the game is an awesome feeling.
As to glitches or bugs, there is one thing that I notice happens to me sometimes. For whatever reason, the disc will just stop reading at certain points. At first I thought it was just a dirty rental disc, but I have cleaned it numerous times since and still no luck. When it does this, simply popping the disc out and reinserting it will make it read again and I can continue on with no problems... until the next time. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why it does it or when it will happen. It annoys me when it happens, but immediately after starting to play again, it is forgotten.
All and all, this turned out to be far better than I expected and will be a definite buy for me.
