Over-the-top violence and more blood than the elevator scene from "The Shining" make this an enjoyable, but flawed game. The game is designed to resemble a black and white graphic novel. There is plenty of red (blood) and yellow (signs) thrown in, as well (a little green late in the game for variety). The game is short, but the time limits and limited number of lives will probably mean most gamers will need about eight to ten hours to complete the game. The game gets somewhat repetitive, but overall is quite enjoyable.
Perfect for rental. This game strongly resembles God Hand. If you liked that game you will have a spanking good time at one point in this game, as well.
One negative is that there is no save between the last level and the final boss battle. I barely beat it on my second try. That is something I find to be a cheap devise to extend the play time. There are a few extras for a repeat play, but I found one time through to be sufficient, yet satisfying.
An enjoyable and good, albeit short, game! Definitely worth playing!

Alright, if you're craving pure blood, violence, profanity and the M rating pushed to its limits- this is your game. If not, and you just want action, story, and entertainment, then this game will be boring within the first couple of minutes. MadWorld is a game that could just be renamed "Violence" and pass it off, but violence and bad words 24/7 will get boring in no time, there's not much story to it and the graphical style just gets annoying because it's black and white with red blood highlighting your screen.

PROS:
-controls were decent
-music gave things an actiony vibe

CONS:
-the gameplay is "kill"... that's it. characters will come at you and you have to kill them. It gets very repetitive.
- the comic book style messes with your eyes and only serves to highlight blood. Not very cinematic though.
