2k13 cleaned up some issues like catching routine flyballs without the lag issues. The biggest issue is the online lag and disconnect just tried to play 3 games and never made it past the 4th. With this being an ongoing problem from year to year it really limits how long people play the game and kills sales, people will struggle with it for a week or two and just move on , as I will do. The graphics are great, player legacy great, franchise great, online play stinks. Thats why i will rate the game at a 4.
I can't believe this game is pretty much the exact same game as last year.
2k sports needs to take more pride in there baseball franchise games like they are with the basketball games.
If you have last years game, all you have to do is update your rosters and you have the new game.
Don't waste your money buying this game.
This is a really fun quick to get used to game. This is my first touch of any 2K Baseball game. I've been informed not much has changed from previous versions which is disappointing. What's also upsetting is the lack of an online dynasty (or franchise) option. So many games are interactive with other humans that removing that option really takes a lot out of playing it. That's my biggest gripe. It has your standard clunky ugly looking menus, but that's 2K. Playing as a catcher in my normal season I'm blasting through games around 7 minute average per game. Which I love because 162 is no picnic. It looks really good. They've done an excellent job replicating stadiums. The players detail looks great. Because the game is so limited in online options and there wasn't really any changes in the game itself from previous versions it's hard to get behind the price tag. It plays so fast and the lack of my online community it truly feels like an 'arcade' style game. Most people use the arcade tag as a knock, but it really feels like an arcade game. I cannot see spending full price on this game. Give it a month and pick it up for less IF you need it. Rent DO NOT buy at full price.
