This could have been a 9 or 10 but CPU won't let you win even if you make it as easy as possible! I even made the settings so that I could pretty much have a dream team with the easiest settings I could set without the game playing for me and I think I won 3 out of 20. Everything goes smooth until the last couple innings when out of nowhere the CPU gets hit after hit. I almost canceled my account when I got the email to purchase this game. I did give it 2 weeks. If u need a reason to beat your wife, get this game.

I'll try to keep this as short and to the point as possible. I used to be a huge Baseball fan when I was younger and was playing in little league and through freshman year of High School. I was a pitcher that had dreams of one day pitching in the bigs. Unfortunately in high school while at bat I took a pitch from the opposing pitcher (who threw in the upper 90's) right in my piching elbow. It cracked my elbow and the ball left a baseball stitch indention that's still visable 20 years later. I was never able to throw anything but a fastball again so my dreams had to change. I was forced to change sports. Luckily my damaged elbow didn't effect my ability to play goalie in Ice Hockey so I excelled in that.
Enough about my backround and back to the game review. As a person who really only enjoys watching a Baseball game live at the park and never on TV, it's surprising that I would enjoy playing a Baseball game on a console. I usually only stick to Hockey games when it comes to sports games. That was until I started playing "Road to the Show". This game isn't like watching a professional game on TV or even live, it's like being a Professional or Minor League player trying to make it to the BIGS. This game sucks you in and doesn't let you go until the next edition comes out a year later. This game shows you that Baseball isn't just a game for a bunch of dumb jocks (although there are a few), it shows you that the athletes who make it to the bigs are not only physically elite but also mentally.
Instead of rating every aspect of the video game I'm just going to simply say that if you like professional baseball and if you ever wanted to play in the BIGS then this game actually gives you a real chance. You won't get the huge paycheck these players get but other than that you will feel like a Professional Baseball Player. Oh yeah, you also won't get the girls either but not everyone can actually be a true to life Pro Baseball Player.
The game is great in terms of realistic baseball but also pretty fun to play. Road to the show is fun, although a bit slow, still fun. The game has a few small flaws such as bad camera angles for fielding and base running and some weird transitions from glove to throwing but all in all worth it. Dynasty as well as pitching opens up a whole new aspect to the game that is different yet equally as fun as road to the show. Was going to rent, but decided to buy. if your a big baseball fan like myself the game is sure to keep you entertained for quite some time.
