This is the finest baseball game I have played and I've played them all. MLB '09 is completely new and revamped with the best single player road to the show, superstar type mode I've played in any game. The graphics are fantastic and the atmosphere of the ballpark really shines. I've been very critical about this franchise in the past for being a rehashed, mediocre sports game that fell far short of the MLB2k series so this game was a great surprise. It is the best baseball game of 2009 and the best MLB game I've ever played, 10 out of 10, a great game.

This game is the best baseball game I have ever played. I didnt rent it I bought it when it first came out. The graphics are great, any game mode you choose to play is great! I love the online roster updates every week something that personally I think should have been done long ago, like when EA sports Triple Play was still in the picture. The only reason it doesn't get a perfect ten from me though is one thing and one thing only! In Rtts mode they have it set to where your attributes are horrid. You can still have a great spring and still get sent to AA ball because it doesn't go by your stats but by attributes. If thats the way you guys are going to set it up then you should give some more points to build up the attributes or fix the way they are awarded. Like when you have a good game you should get a a bunch of points for attributes instead of a little here and a little there. Make more an incentive for the impatient folks who want to play in the "The Show" this season. Other than that one thing this game is not just a homerun, but a monster upper deck walk-off shot to play. And if you have the patience for Rtts it probably will be a blast as well.
