If you're a fan of Lunar like I am, you've played the Sega CD version, and played the PSX version. Just as those told the same story slightly differently, Lunar Legend gives you yet another take on this story.
While lack of voice effects kind of make the story a little bland, it does seem well suited for a handheld RPG. Battles aren't TOO tough, except the final one IS challenging. Going up levels isn't too hard. Here's a hint - save the game, reload, and viola! Full health!
The collecting of cards isn't bad, but unless you have a friend with this game, you'll probably never get them all. That's kind of disappointing.
Fans of Lunar should enjoy a revisit to this little gem, while people who aren't Lunar fans may be turned off by it's typical RPG feel.

As much as I love the Lunar game, I felt Lunar Legend was a tiny bit of a disappointment. Some of the bosses from the game were changed in this. How you did some of the "quests" were changed. The story was a bit changed too. One thing I did like though, were the new critical attacks that (nearly) everybody can use. So I'm sure anybody that hasn't played the original Lunar for PSX will think it's a great game, but ,possibly, for those who have played might have gotten a little disappointed. Over all it is a good game, even though quite a few things were changed.
