Lumines is sort of like Tetris, except it has a whole lot of differences, to me Lumines is overall better than Tetris graphics-wise,gameplay- wise, and Sound....
Graphics 8/10
Simply jaw-dropping all the effects and backgrounds are beautiful, you'll be paying more attention to the backgrounds than the puzzle you're actually playing
Gameplay 10/10
The reason why they call it puzzle "Fusion" is because it mixes music in with puzzle elements, you have a simple block dropping formula like most puzzlers but for every match you make (Make a cube of 4 of the same colors)the music goes on and you can link more cubes of the same color to create a combo, there's also a line that goes across the screen that deletes blocks as it goes which adds a little challenge if you're trying for a big combo. There's an old-fashioned puzzle mode too where you try to make a certain shape with certain blocks in an allotted time, simple, innovative, just plain fun.
Sound 10/10
The music is wonderful, you'll have tracks like "Shinin'" and "Round About" stuck in your head even if you're not playing the audio is flawless, it makes you wish there was a soundtrack CD for this game.
Replay Value: High
Overall: With over 300 songs and puzzles to jam too, Lumines set off the PSP on a good foot, this game should be remembered as one of the greatest handheld games of all time....now just wait till Every extend extra comes out....
