The graphics are the best of any horse game. As an owner and rider myself, I can see that the horses on the game move more like real horses than any other horse game I've seen. Dont misunderstand me. The `Lets Ride` series are good, but their horses prance and hold their heads up constantly. Horses almost never do that for real. The graphics are so real you can see the bit, horseshoes, and stirrups. Most other horse games have none of these items. I would, however, like to see more than four locations to compete and choices like the color of the saddle blankets and leg wraps and maybe unlock new horse breeds and horse colors during gameplay. I would also like to see a trail riding feature in which I can just ride and not have to compete and train all the time. The scenery on this game was fabulous, but I could not explore it. Two thumbs up altogether for this one.

Overall i think this game is rather boring. The only reason i give it a 5 is because i rented it for my 9 year old daughter and she loves it. I was expecting it to be a bit more Sim like. When they tell you to pat, feed, water and care for your horse I would have expected to see the rider i created doing just that. Instead they show a big hand on the screen that you push around that "pats" your horse.
Like i said it is great for kids. They seem to be very excited by it. For adults....dont waste your time.
First off, let me say that I rented this for my GF who happens to really like the Barby horse riding game. OK, so we both played it, but anyway... The game play is repetitive and gets boring quickly. When I say quickly, I'm saying in less than 10 minutes you will be wondering when it gets better; Well... don't hold your breath, it never does.
The stable activities are worthless and weak. C'mon.. pat the horse with the hand cursor? Please.
Dressage which should be fun to watch (at LEAST) is a weak mini-game of pushing the correct button as icons scroll across the screen and are beneath a bullseye. You can't even see what the horse or rider are doing (not that they are actually doing much anyway) as you simply stare at the scrolling button icons and wait to push the appropriate one. Worthless. One of the worst mini-games of this type I have ever encountered actually.
Competition for open track and jumping are OK, but after doing them a few times AND HAVING TO do dressage as well, you'll quickly return this game thanking yourself for not having purchased it.
Only good thing I can say is the graphics are decent, but even so, glitchy at times.
So, if you're into actual equestrian competition and love being bored to death during your game time, then by all means add this one to your Q. But, if you're over the age of 5 (which you'll need to be for the hand-eye coordination needed for dressage) you will find this game is not worth the price of admission.
Stick to Barby Horse riding - especially for the youngsters.
