Game OK, but could do better

I have been hearing a lot of raving about Lost Planet for a long time. Now that I have actually played it, I don't see why everyone has raved about it that much. Don't get me wrong, it is not horrible. The storyline, for example, is a positive that I will give it. It is an interesting one and I like it. The only complaint that I have for the the storyline is that it gets slow at parts. What happens is when I think that I am about to find something out in the story, that is when the end of the commercial comes up and the mission briefing pops up.
The main complaint that I have with the game is that the shooting is not that great. Especially when you shoot other people. I just doesn't seem that fun for some strange reason.
