I really didn't expect too much from this game. I think that the LOTR video game franchise is all but dead. This game tries to bring in new life by trying to make a Star Wars Batllefront game by using the LOTR universe. It plays okay, but there's no real draw to the game. It's a case of been there done that. Worth a rent if you have some down time between good games.
Well first off i'd like to say this game is not like battlefront dont buy if your looking for a Lord of the rings version battlefront. I made the mistake of buying it and wish that i didnt. Battlefront offered many differnt classes and some fraction specific classes, Conquest offered 4 classes none of which Fraction specific this is one the first things i noticed when i played, that and the Story is really short.
The big battles arent so big in the game theres no battles where its you and 400 guys on the walls of helms deep trying to hold the keep against ten thousand angry orcs it more like you and 20 guys against waves of orcs. Now somepeople may say "well this is the first battle they want to start you off slow" thats true but dont do it in one of the biggest battles of the movie series. The battles get bigger but not to noticeable extent.
If you liked battlefront... well theres very little relation between these two games so you may dislike this game i would recomend renting it considering its fun for a while but then gets repetive. After a day i was sick of it if you have nothing else on your game Q rent this but dont exspect battlefront. When the game puts in more beasts to comand and space battles + more classes and finally more things to do with the classes then damage(beside the mage every other class had one job kill the enemy which is fun for while but gets old) then you can call it battlfront.
