Very Good

Sparkly B Rated Zombies

I have to start by saying how thoroughly entertained I was the first time I played Lollipop Chainsaw. Who knew butt-kickery could be so cute and perky? It only took me 2-3 days of casual play to complete, which made me a little sad. Normally I am not a fan of constant button prompts but, in LC's case it allows for more of a visual adventure. It almost felt like I was playing an interactive Night of the Living Dead, but these zombies can say a lot more than, "Braaaiiiiins!"
Whatever your style - precision combos or just mash the buttons - there are plenty of ways to kill a zombie. The boss fights get a little epic in comparison, but it adds a healthy level of challenge. Personally, I was not terribly interested in replaying the game, I was rather amused by the story line and just wish it had been longer.

the game is simply fun to play. it has a lot of dirty jokes, the gameplay could be somewhat smoother but the creativeness makes up for it. Definately worth buying after a price drop and most definately worth a rental.

Fun shines through dated design

There IS fun to be had in this game, as well as laughter, great music, and a whole lot of enjoyable What The F#$?! moments. If you're interested in this game I definitely recommend renting it, maybe turning the difficulty down, and tearing through it. But buyers beware as the content isn't worth the full retail price.

Unfortunately, The game design is VERY dated. It feels like an early PS2 game. The combat, progression, menu navigation and upgrade system as well as the flow of the game are all disappointingly last gen. It's too bad because there is a TON of stuff that could have been great in here, perhaps in the developer with more skill or resources.
