It's unfortunate... I fell in love with Suda 51's work with Killer 7, enjoyed Shadows of the Damned and the Black Knight... but I couldn't bring myself to get into this game. It has some good moments but take off the silliness and it's just a really mediocre third-person action game.
If you are a fan of Suda's stuff then that is the only way I can recommend this game... and even then I'd tell you to get Enslaved: Odyssey to the West instead ;)
I mean, it's nice that it has a "strong" female lead who kicks all kinds of zombie behind, but if you are looking for a meaty Action Adventure game then I would pass this one up.

Personally, I have no idea why this game is as low as 6.6 on here, it's IMO one of the best zombie games you'll ever play. The story and characters are great, the graphics do their job, the gameplay is near top-notch, and the soundtrack goes perfect with the world and everything that's happening in it.
My only gripes are that the controls seem clunky at first (Which is kinda understandable, seeing how Juliet is hoisting a chainsaw that's about half her height length-wise), but you get used to them by the middle of the 1st stage. My other problem is that the game is marinated in QTEs. Nobody in the history of gaming ever thought that QTEs were a great addition, and I honestly have no idea why developers consistently put them in games when EVERYBODY keeps pointing out what a waste of time they are.
Other than those two problems, the game is fantastic, and I'll probably be buying this soon.
