Very Good

I waited for a LONG time for this game to come. And depressingly enough, i saw that it kept getting mediocre review scores. But it finally came and, let me just say, it was worth the wait.

Graphics: Stylized and beautiful, there is no problem here. Violence is plentiful and a few of the bosses looks hilarious. No glitches, just a few camera troubles here and there. 9

Sound: Best non-nintendo soundtrack out there. Really captures an era. Voice acting is stellar and humorous. Constant cursing and sexual slurs are not for the young or for people with no sense of humor. 9.75

Gameplay: A bit clunky, but reminds me of old 80s brawlers. Level design is a bit tedious, but is fun enough that it won't make you want to stop playing. Lots of new combos and abilities that you can unlock along the journey. Lots of fun to be had trying to beat your dad and your own high scores, like classic arcade games. No xbox live deathmatches though.... 6.5

Story: Writing is genius and the humor is consistent. Juliet is a funny and sexy character, and her supporting characters definitely have great moments, Nick especially. A few jokes fall flat here and there, but it doesn't take away from the overall experience. It is a bit short, and i would have liked a less linear experience. Maybe in the sequel, because trust me, there will be one. 8.75

The Verdict: Lollipop Chainsaw is a fun, enjoyable and hilarious game. Not long or deep enough to be worth $60, but definitely worth the rent. 8.25 from me.

Gotta Love It

Any game that has the Runaways Cherry Bomb as their main menu music is going to be OK with me. Fortunately, the game lived up to the menu music and turned out to be fun, a bit raunchy, and mercifully short. The game left you wanting one or two more good boss battles, but really by the last stage you have pretty much seen and done it all in the game. For those that felt slighted by the short game, please feel free to play through again on hardcore or whatever it is that opens up after your first completion.

Hack, slash, zombie goodness that kept me going for several gaming sessions. Hardcore button mashers could probably knock out their first play through in a long afternoon-evening session.

Anyone else catch the Howard Stern Ba ba booey reference in the farm scene?
