This game is Cuteness Overload! I enjoy the simple, responsive controls - I find myself tipping back and forth as I move those little butterballs through the levels, cheering them on as if they can hear me. It's mesmerizing, I want to keep going and going, even though it is side scrolling (more like side, up and down scrolling), the new level landscapes are always fun to discover, and finding all the Mui-Mui feels like a mission worthy of a Tomb Raider! But here - there's no weapons to fight with (in fact no "arms" at all) and lots (and lots) of bouncing. The soothing and not-too-repetitive music score sometimes has "teletubby cute" nonsense words that really get you emotionally involved with the lil' yellow guys. The "pinball" aspects are less obvious, but the "waterballoon with eyes" description fits, as it gets bigger and BIGGER through the level! - COOL! I just purchased it because I know it will keep me coming back for more, there's supposed to be over 40 levels - I play a lot of different types of hand-held games and I prefer the ones like "Loco-Roco" that are satisfying without getting too difficult too quickly, it's like "Lumines", it has a laid-back soundtrack and simple repeating actions, I like to play this game when I need to mellow out after a long day!

My thoughts on Loco Roco are pretty simple as are the game itself. Loco Roco is not the greatest game ever and it's not trying to be, but make no mistake what it tries to do, it does very well. The basic premise of the game is you use the left and right bumpers to tilt your cute little lava lampy ball of joy through each level while avoiding bad guys and collecting things along the way. The controls take a little time to get use to but are pretty easy to pick up. The levels are trippy and colorful and the soundtrack is awesome. This is a slightly above average game that I would recommend to anyone who likes games that bring something new to the table as well as platform fans. It's a worthy add-on to your PSP collection.
