Great Music and graphics.
Those are the reasons to buy the game. The new battle system is fun at first, but boring and repetitive in my opinion. I played for about 10 hours (i have beat xiii, xiii-2) and just could not bring myself to like this game. I will be honest and say i did not like the other two games much either though, so I could be a bit biased.
I used to think Metal Gear Solid 2: The Sons of Liberty
had one of the most melodramatic and convoluted plots of
any videogame series, not anymore this beats it. Wow.
These two sequels were unnecessary the first game's ending
resolved everything nicely and shows how perseverance and working together can sometimes overcome the odds, but the second one negates
all the characters actions (they didn't break their l'cie curse some Goddess felt sorry for them and intervened... Huh?!?)
it had some redeeming qualities but this one seems like a
desperate cash grab. Why all the heavy religious themes? It comes across as pretentious
this game is difficult to enjoy because it centers around death and destruction
I thought it would have been more believable if the Fal'cie were aliens (like Mass Effect's Reapers) but no
they had to make them "Gods"
This really makes me appreciate Final Fantasy VII more and how superior it is to the games that SquareEnix is
cranking out now. What happened to you SquareEnix?
gameplay is kinda fun
huge sandbox like world
Excellent voice acting
Depressing melancholy story
heavy handed existential themes
unoriginal/recycled character design (please stop ripping-off Cloud, he's one of the greatest characters up there with Solid Snake, Link and Mario)
Time limits that make you rush through each level
lame new music tracks and recycled good music from previous games (and a lazy way of connecting the three games together)
NPCs all look the same
30 hours of main-story gameplay (too short for an RPG)
