My wife rented this game expecting it to be a dancing game that uses the motion features of the Wii. Be aware that it is not. I would describe the game play as being like Guitar Hero if it were played by point-and-click. Little icons appear on the screen, and you have to point at them with the remote and click the button in time with the rhythm of the song. This is kind of a poorly conceived way to construct a game, but it does work perfectly fine... it's just boring.
On the story side, most people who rent this game are probably expecting it to be very cutsie. Actually, the main character of the game is probably more like 12-14 years old, and I'd say the story is geared more toward this age group. The story follows the girl as she flirts with boys, while trying to balance this with her ballerina training. The payoff of the story is seeing which boy she chooses in the end. The story isn't great, but it's not awful either.
In summary, I don't really have anything particularly good to say about this game other than the fact that I haven't seen another game like it. On the other hand, I think a 12 year old girl would probably enjoy it for a couple of days, so I don't think it's as bad as some other reviewers are making it out to be.
