Movie Description
Very few happy things have happened in the lives of the Baudelaire children. Violet (Emily Browning), Klaus (Liam Aiken), and Sunny (Kara & Shelby Hoffman), orphaned after the tragic death of their filthy rich parents, are sent to live with their distant relative, Count Olaf (Jim Carrey). The Count, however, is less out to take care of the children and more out to take over their inheritance. The kids see right through Olaf's plans and use their smarts to escape from the perilous situations they "accidentally" fall into. The Baudelaires bounce between the homes of their extended family, with Olaf, often disguised, trying to take out anyone willing to take the children in. Carrey steals the show in this twistedly miserable gothic comedy based on the popular Lemony Snicket's children's book series.
