ok, let me start off by saying this game OVERALL is actually a fun concept. however, that gets destroyed very, VERY early in the game. there are not enough characters in this review box to describe how badly this game was put together. so i'll just gripe about the top 2 things i felt made this so bad: the "battle" rendering and the "dreamscape" sequences.
the "battle" or fighting sequences honestly wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so skewed in the CPU's favor. it's always at least 3 to 1 and they hit much faster than you do.
the "dreamscapes" seem like an optional sub-plot. they are not and there are i believe 5 or 6 you will have to do for each new movie area you go to. they wouldn't be so bad as well if they weren't so long and actually added something to further the main game progress. the only purpose they serve is to frustrate and then anger you.
if it weren't for those 2 things, i more than likely would have finished the game but alas, i quit after getting a 1/3 of the way through the 2nd dreamscape.
BUT since you are renting, i say give this game a shot if you can. it's the only way you can really understand how bad this game is.
Not really a BAD game.. The movement control needs some work, PARTICULARLY when you /CAN'T/ move the camera.
Got as far as taking pics of 2 gals, COULDN'T find a way to the roof above them, & you can't go into the bldg. w/ the high wire line to walk to it... Can't jump up onto the roof or into the tree onto the roof, using a particular door puts you right behind them, failing the mission as well.. Up to this point, the game was fun!
