Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for GameCube Reviews by Gamers

This game didn't seem too much like a Zelda game to me at all. It seems to be themed around pirates. You spend about 50% of the game on a freak'n boat, just to get from point A to point B!
Other than that, this game sort of does have the main Zelda elements to it. There is just too much new stuff that makes it feel 75% less mature.
Twilight Princess is at least 60% better than this one. If you want more Zelda, and have beaten all of the other ones, this game shouldn't be skipped. Not playing this game isn't going to hurt the story line for you at all. You'll want to beat Ocarina of Time, before playing this game to get the most out of it.

The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker is a deep and thrilling video game like no other. It has more of a cartoony fell than previous zelda games but is just as dramatic and fun as the other games. It is an extremely vast world that many people quit playing because of, but they missed out big time. It has many new items and weapons, one of which is the deku leaf, which actually allows Link to fly! Overall, it was one of the best games the GameCube has to offer.
