Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion for PSP Reviews by Gamers

I have not yet beaten this game but I get the general idea of what it's like. It has a good storyline that makes you want to keep playing to see what happens. It has some unexpected surprises, but it also has some predictable moments. The game is played with simple controls and has the combat style where you enter battle mode, so the characters aren't just roaming around and attacking you. a lot of people won't like a game because of it's battle style. This game is the type where you select an action for each member of your party and they do it. You cant block an enemy's attack and you can't move your characters where ever you please. The land can be a little confusing. You have a map but it only shows where towns are in correlation to other places. You don't have a map that shows you where you are in a town or area. So if you rent this game, you either need a photographic memory or just get used to being lost all the time. so far this game has been a lot of fun. I plan on keeping it until I beat it. When I first bought my PSP, i bought a couple games; one was The Legend of Heroes a Tear of Vermillion. The opening sequence was (almost) boring, but it was interesting to watch. The storyline is superb and well thought out. I am a big fan of manga (a.k.a. anime) and was really inspired by this game. The battles do repetitive though, and you must CONSTANTLY level up to even be able to continue in the game, but it's still just so dang good. Being at the end already, I can't wait for the next one! (As soon as I beat the last boss :p)
