Valve's sheer stroke of genius!

I played the demo off Xbox Live and was flat out amazed! The story doesnt suck you in right away, because it's not surrounded by the story. This game is about the functionality & playability, which in turn, are very, very high.
I couldn't get over right off the bat, of how solid the A.I. system is for bots recovering you when you need to pop a few pain pills or use a first aid kit. You have 10 diffrent weapons to choose from & 20 huge envrionment maps.
The zombies are beautifully designed. The "point markers" which trigger when the zombies attack. What I love about the zombies attacking, is no matter what, it's always a diffrent angle, the element of surprise draws you in & holds you tight in its grasp.
The controls are straight foward. Unless your a younger player, then it may take a couple of minutes to get the hang of the controls. Graphics are lush, bright, beautiful darker colors, lighting, atmosphere is haunting.
The music is amazing! Nothing short of awesome. I hope to find a copy of the soundtrack to this game! You can do just about anything & not get bored. The game is repetative, that's why I gave it a 9. It's the only downfall I've found with this game. Multiplayer is next to flawless. The engine runs smooth & unparalled crisp.
I recommend this game to Any & Every shooter, even the casual gamer. It's definitely a rental, and if you enjoy it as much as I do, I'd then suggest buying a copy. I hope you enjoyed the review. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gamers!
