Oh my, this game is Epic in every sense of the word!! The graphics, the voice acting, the combat, the story, the everything! Once you start playing and get into it, you just can't put it down. The storyline is very engrossing, well told by Square Enix. The graphics, while taking a while to load, are beautiful. The only problem, if you can call it that, was the loading. If you just install the game to your hard drive, it nearly fixes the problem. The characters are all unique and special in there own way. The number of characters is emmense, even soldiers in your squad have special traits that only they have--ranging from Ego, to Adaptivity, to Faith, to Evasion--the list is endless! You can create your own small army and actually fell connected to every single trooper. The background of the game is special and interesting, setting up a world that is only second to Mass Effect. Once you start playing and understanding how the world works, its almost like you feel that you are in Athlum, wondering around to save YOUR city. Countless quests, and specially guild tasks, make the gameplaying last forever, you just can't get bored! I guess you can during the load times, but you just can't wait to get back to the action! The turn based combat is so unique and different that it blew me away. Unlike anything I have ever seen. The replay value is incredible because of the different paths you can go. There are different speciality skills form almost EVERY weapon! Several for axes, several for katanas, several for dual weilding axes, staffs, hammers, and list is again endless!
The Good:
--Characters
--Customization of your character/amry
--The story
--The combat and
--The replay value
The Bad:
--Loading times. But that is minor in my book.
Final Words:
--One of the best games I have ever played. Once you rent, you will have to buy it! Unless you want to have this game out for 3 months as you play it again and again!
