Glitch after Glitch

I'm a huge fan of the Lego game series but I'm very disappointed in this one. Four times I ran into a glitch that I couldn't get out of. Very frustrating.

Same LEGO formula as always, eeeyarrgh!

Traveller's Tales has stuck with this LEGO game formula forever, so if you've played one before you know exactly what to expect. It's 2 player offline co-op as well if you want 2x the LEGO pieces flying everywhere. It follows the 3 Pirates movies and adds its own LEGO humor as always, which was hilarious and kid friendly. The graphics and gameplay have also been updated and are much better than its counterparts.

You'll still get confused or lost at times since there are no voices, and the movies were also a clusterfudge of plot twists. B/c of that, if your Jack Sparrow you have a handy compass which can guide you to several treasures, objectives, and get you out of dead ends, so you're not always wondering around the same area looking for what to do. They also finally added more arrows to guide you so you don't miss things that are right in front of your face. If you're lost, start whacking every object you see.

Just like all LEGO games, most of the secrets in the levels must be done after you've beaten the level first. You'll unlock free play and can choose better characters to find all the hidden goodies, so it's 2 playthroughs to get everything in the game. There are more than 50 characters to play, and each are unique. Jack Sparrows drunken off balance walk was even nailed down to a T.

The game just felt much smoother and more fluid than the other LEGO games, and the updated graphics were great. But don't expect anything radically different like Clone Wars was. This is one of the better games, so if you like Pirates, rent the game and become a swashbuckler for the weekend.
