The game is fun although a little repeditive. I'm about 15 hours in and the only real complaint i have is the controls, they suck. I mean suck, you have this beautiful landscape, great voice acting, great story, and then wham you're reminded that you're playing a rockstar game as you get stuck on objects and have a horrilbe time turning and manuevering. It really takes you out of a world the designers worked so hard to build for you. All in all having a fun time so far.

I saw this game advertised and immedately put it in my GameQ with excitement to play it the day of release. Sadly though that excitment quickly changed to dissapointment and even a bit of repetativeness. This game is nonstop story just misson after mission after mission and it's just a total letdown for a Rockstar game. When you here rockstar you expect to have a great open free roam map ( GTA, Red Dead Redemption, ect..) but this game is the total opposite with very little time or reason to bother looking around the map. Along with a bad game setup it's also very short as i've only played for about 6 hours and i'm 3/4 of the way through it already, and after the lenghty games of the past with plenty of replay, this one is on the bottom of my list of memorable games. As for the story i can still remember every part of GTA 4 San Andreas and RDR due to the great character development, but with this one i truely couldn't care less what happens. Oh and just incase i forgot to mention you spend about 75% of the game just driving.

- The graphics and voiceovers are amazing everything seems on track and you feel as if your talking to actual people.
- It's nice to be the police for once enforcing the law instead of making your own justice like the other titles
- option to have your partner drive to skip to destinations
-Gameplay is pure story mode with little or no time to free roam
- Your driving for a huge majority of the game
- the story really doesn't start to develop until your about halfway through it
- the character development is to vague it just doesn't give you much attachment like with past titles.
- it doesn't feel like the player has much variety like in past Rockstar titles.

Overall i would gamefly this but it wouldn't be at the top of my list as there are better games with more to do that LA Noire.

Wow. Forget everything you think you know about Rockstar Games or even the entire "Open World" genre for that matter. Slow and cerebral is the name of this game. I just got done jamming through the game after picking it up at a midnight release. This truely is a game changer of this console generation and a welcome one at that! Finally a slow, well-writen, mature title for mature gamers. I've always thought that playing the "good guy" couldn't be done in a game but Rockstar and Team Bondi have proved me wrong. I was completely engrossed from begining to end. Just don't expect this to be your "GTA" or "Red Dead" fix for 2011 or you will be sorely dissapointed. There are no zombies to kill. There is no sky-diving. You don't run over pedestrians. You just solve crimes in a rich, colorful re-creation of late 1940s Los Angeles and you feel like a badass, hero cop while doing it. Highly recomended for anyone who would like an injection of new ideas and flavor into their gaming diet.
