Good, but seems lacking

The game is slow to start, and through out has a lot of videos. It does help pull you in, and get you into the character, but sometimes the action is so short lived you feel like your watching a video game and not really playing. The thing I love about the game is the GTA feel, and the faces in the game are amazing. It can actually teach you a thing or two about peoples body language and how to read people. Overall I give it a 7 for being fun to play for any mature gamer, but lack of freedom and it being slightly too short. I read another review saying the game is really long, but I beg to differ... I've haven't had the game for 2 days yet and I'm at 40% game completetion. Also re-playability isn't there...like GTA and RDR. It's a new style of gaming for Rockstar, I see them using a lot technology in this game in all future games.

My opinion...rent it for a week, dont buy it!

Like most others, I've been excited by this title for a while, but after a few hours of gameplay, I'm really disappointed (but am that much more thankful for Gamefly!).

The actual game/face capture are fantastic. You can easily recognize any number of actors you see on TV everyday (i think i counted 5 actors from Mad Men). But, the actual gameplay is quirky to say the least. while trying to manuever, your character can routinely run into a light pole or trashcans and not jump/side step to continue the chase. Instead, you're just stuck.

There's not a quick access to the map (that I've found), so you're contantly hitting the Select button to see the map, then backing out to return to gameplay.

Also, if you fail on some interrogations, you may be directed right back into another session, asking the exact same questions as if you hadn't done it once before.

The driving engine doesn't seem nearly as polished as the GTA games or the Mafia games either. It's just not as fun to drive around and see the sites or jump into side games as you can in other games.

All in all, I'm glad i rented it and didn't buy it!
