Like most others, I've been excited by this title for a while, but after a few hours of gameplay, I'm really disappointed (but am that much more thankful for Gamefly!).
The actual game/face capture are fantastic. You can easily recognize any number of actors you see on TV everyday (i think i counted 5 actors from Mad Men). But, the actual gameplay is quirky to say the least. while trying to manuever, your character can routinely run into a light pole or trashcans and not jump/side step to continue the chase. Instead, you're just stuck.
There's not a quick access to the map (that I've found), so you're contantly hitting the Select button to see the map, then backing out to return to gameplay.
Also, if you fail on some interrogations, you may be directed right back into another session, asking the exact same questions as if you hadn't done it once before.
The driving engine doesn't seem nearly as polished as the GTA games or the Mafia games either. It's just not as fun to drive around and see the sites or jump into side games as you can in other games.
All in all, I'm glad i rented it and didn't buy it!

This game is awesome. It does a great job of making you feel like you are really a cop. The graphics are great. I really should have given this game a 10 instead of a 9. The game is awesome, but not perfect. I really haven't seen a flaw in the game so far. The shooting and chase scenes are great. Overall this game is spectacular. This game is definitely a buy and not just a rental.
