When i got this game I thought it would just be cop shows on tv, but this is a thousand times better. You don't just look over a crime scene for clues, you look over a crime scene for evidence you wouldn't expect to be there that sooner or later makes or breaks the case. Also In L.A. Noire you have the ability to ask questions, this is a rare thing to see in games, but the questions come with a twist! You have to judge whether the person is telling the truth or not. Also there are street crimes from suicidal people to bank robbers that you have to deal with (If you want to).
As an AVID gamer I was very impressed with this title from Rockstar. Normally my reviews of Rockstar games are not that great, ie. GTA Series but they have really turned around their games with Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire.
Game play is solid and the story is very well written. The most amazing thing about this game is the facial recognition and movement. The capture technology used is outstanding and the features are spot on. Trying to tell if someone is lying or not really depends on your ability to watch their face and not just listen to their words and had they not been able to capture the faces and movement like they have in this game, you couldn't really play this game.
The only couple of cons I have for this are the loose controls while driving, it's very sensitive and a little hard to control sometimes while in a chase, along with cars not moving out of the way when they hear a siren coming up behind them. Also the camera angles can be a little off at times, but nothing that really hinders the game.
All in all this is a very solid game and with the DLC that is coming available for it just extends the amazing gameplay.
