Movie Description
Combine Bruce Lee films with Looney Tunes and the Matrix, and you get the eye-popping action sequences and zany gags of Kung Fu Hustle, Stephen Chow's follow-up to Shaolin Soccer. With Hong Kong movie legends Yuen Qiu and Leung Siu Lung, Chow stars in this gang-war story set in a 1930's slum. Sing (Chow) is a wannabe thug who hustles a living on the mean streets run by the Axe Gang. The local landlady is a terror who can flatten buildings with a yell, her husband can kick people across the street, and a pair of musical assassins shoots lethal projectiles from their magic lyres! Common people turn out to be Kung Fu masters, and our heroes eventually have a showdown with a bullet-catching mental patient known as The Beast.

The movie is actually funny. Don't be discouraged by the subtitles there is not much dialog anyway. The action sequences reminded me of playing Jade Empire. If you liked Crouching Tigers or Flying Daggers you will like this.more
