Excellent

Simple, Yet Entertaining Platformer

Klonoa 2 is an old-school type platformer. It's set in a 3-D world but it play like a 2-D videogame. Klonoa 2 has a gameplay is very basic(shoot and jump) but it is very entertaining nonetheless.

The story is lame, something to do with a priest and dreams. I don't know I didn't really pay attention, specially since they speak in japanese, so you only get to see the subtitles. Warning! though, if you are over 8 years old you might find the characters to be a little obnoxious.

Where this game excels is the gameplay. In This game you can use the enemies to your advantage. You can grab the enemies and either use'em as a weapon or to get over an obstacle that is unreachable with conventional means. At first it seems easy but as you progress the game gets more complicated and engaging. The difficulty level is on the easy side, not too hard.

Klonoa 2 is about 10 hours in length which I think is perfect. There are things you can do after you beat it, like collecting all the gems which can be quite difficult.

I would recommend this game for gamers who like the old super nintendo and genesis platfomers or just about anybody that loves platformers altogether.

Klonoa is,once again, another game not all would know
(You'd have to be considered as a hardcore gamer to know.)That's why the series have seemed to halt to a stop after 2002.But,it's good, yet too simple.
Klonoa is a side-scroller,which sort of brings back memories of nostalgia. You control a 'cabbit',Klonoa,as he fights for justice in Lunatea through jumping and running and firing his 'Wind Bullet' at the Moos-oh,man-and others with ignominious specie names. The plot isn't that annoying, yet it isn't like a game that isn't cheesy at all.I really get bothered by the fact that Lolo always has to enter the Wind Ring in order to fuel it.Don't you think that can get on your nerves?A little girl with a little pathetic voice who always steals Klonoa's place of the proper game as star? Yep.
The gameplay is another balanced fact.Klonoa 2 is
nicely laid-out,and some of the most visible things can still stump you at first glance. It
would cause a slight amount of brain power to figure it out.Or,maybe that requires the manual.
The cel-shaded character graphics have better tastes than Sky Gunner.Nice.
What I don't get is why the game has to have
Japanese voice actors in an English version. Why?I
don't get it.Wouldn't you have English persons in
an English game?Oh,well. At least they got subtitles.
Probably the difficulty level is what I have to
critisize about.Too simple.I kinda like my games
with a little bit of difficulty,or even a lot of
it.But games with too much simplicity are kinda lame.Let me tell you,I've seen and briefly played
games like Hello Kitty, and they sort of suck.
My conclusion is that Klonoa is recommended for
probably beginning-slightly novice players,and if
you're advanced,I recommend you take time on this
game if you want to conserve it in order to last
longer.But if you're master-ranked,you MAY want to
pass. You'll probably beat it in two hours.
