The game is good, honestly, but like a few others have said, it could have been better. Especially when you take into consideration just how much potential the core of the story had.
The combat is pretty cool, smooth and pretty and destructive, but its still another press 1 button for 5 different move set kinda things. It works, it just could've been much more. Not to mention, there comes a time where your character just ends up feeling like an untouchable monster (well, my conqueror felt that way anyways).
The story is pretty good, and the side quests are also good, but there's just something about this game that doesn't quite suck you into its world. Its worth a rent, but I wouldn't buy it.
I have never written a review on gamefly, but this game compelled me to, it seems overlooked, and i wanted in some small way to have a chance to give it my thumbs up. I really love this game, it's a great adventure\RPG. The opening credits had me a bit worried, but the gameplay right from the start was great. It has a natural and smooth fighting mechanic, I'm always more of a brawler than a mage, you have tons of booty to be found, and I've recently discovered it's easy to compare what you have to what you're getting before you pick it up. there are weapon upgrades, quests up the wazoo, and crafting too. the story is interesting (so far). I'm not that far into it ~6hrs, but I can tell I will enjoy this one. I'm hoping that it has a sense of replayablity, I'm thinking of keeping this one...

This is probably one of the most fun RPGs I have played in a while. The graphics are a little cartoony but you get over that... Especially if you have played Fable before. It has pretty much everything I want in an RPG. I dont know about all of you but this game offers a cool narrative kind of story where you choose what you say and it actually effects what happens in the game. I like that. I think thats what makes a true RPG. You also get to choose one of many fates but dont worry! The fate you choose in the beginning will not be permanent, you can change your fate at any time during the game. This adds a cool twist to the game. There are 3 different types of classes. Warriors, Rogues, and Mages. You can choose a fate that is focused on one class, or if you want to crafty you can choose two classes as your fate (Rogue, Warrior). Or if you want to get really creative you can choose all 3 classes and get small benefits for all of them. There is also an option where you can choose "fateless one" where you get to shape your fate as you play. Speaking of fate, there is this cool thing called fateshifting in the game. While in fateshift mode, you do more damage and get more XP for all the weakened enemies around you, plus you get to do a really cool finishing move on one of the unlucky creature who steps in your path. One other great thing about this game is that there are plenty of quests to keep you busy! So I really suggest buying this game! It would take to long to beat the game if you rented it. I hope you found this helpful! Thanks for reading!
