Not bad, but not quite great.

If you're more of a hardcore RPG fan like me, this isn't what you're looking for. On the other hand, it does tell a nice story. And has some good voice acting in the cut-scenes. I found myself quite bored a few hours into it. If you like games like Elder Scrolls, The Witcher, Dragon Age or even Mass Effect; this is a bit beneath you. It's a lot more like Fable 2 or 3 (but not like Fable 1). It actually looks a lot like those games graphically. The combat is fun, with a lot of variety in your moves. But even that didn't keep me interested. I sent it back after only two days with it. I guess it is worth a rent for the curious. Especially if you're the type of gamer who likes to take it easy and get overly involved in your games. I on the other hand prefer a deeper experience.

This game seems great at first. But 15 minutes in you realize this is a rip off of Fable and WoW, with no online to boot! The gameplay and graphics look like they came straight from Fable, with a few tweaks to make it more sophisticated. The world is set up much like a MMO, and so is the leveling system. The quests are seemingly endless, but not in a good way. There are few storyline branches, but the bulk of the quests are benign and pointless, like "my elf dad is sick, collect 10 roots to make him better." All in all, the game isn't terrible, it's just mediocre. The graphics are great, and if they would have kept with the idea of making it an MMO it would have been a great game. But they didn't.

Here is what you need to know, if your big into computer games, or skyrim or dragons dogma. This games a little below you . But if you like rpg style games final fantasy the legend of zelda This is something to bid your time till the next big thing. The game play is Fun, its real time action not like skyrim or dark souls where there is a computer like delayed reaction to your attacks. no block is block hit is hit the battle flows pretty well in this one, kinda a soul caliber style of fighting. its a huge game with alot of side quest a but load of weapons and gear. i have been playing it none stop like 6 hours a day for 2 weeks and im not half way through it. its pretty fun. Here is the draw back, no cut sceanes, the art and graphics and kinda childish, not much to look at, the charicters are easy to forget and all kinda blind in togeather, the bosses as well not very diffrent from one another. The game as a whole is kinda blah! its good for what it is a fun little way to kill time. but it feels like the whole time you play through it . they really rushed this one, it has potential to be sooo much more, the names and the places of things sound like harberdash makes no sense. instead of having that fantasy fairy tale feel. its got more of a kinda garden crayon feel
