no plot, you are set on a linear path doing the same old button massing. This is another game in the long line of games lately that look good graphics but are total garbage.

I really wanted this to be good. I am ridiculously tired of click, click, bang, bang. I've played it for 2 days now, in hopes that it would somehow get better. It doesn't.

There is hardly a story in this game. The only story to speak of is when you are in your dream world. While every playable character's story is different, none are worth sitting through.

You'll find yourself on one side of a map, walking to another side of the map, killing random enemies along the way. The randomly generated maps are cool, but they're still way too linear, and boring.

Also, Get used to the A, and X buttons. For a hack and slash, there's not one real combo in the game. You press X or A (not a combination of X and A) a bunch of times...there's your "combo." No block, jump, roll, dodge, whatever. If you find yourself in a large group of enemies, you're probably going to die, because your character takes so long to recover from one blow, another enemy has already landed one. So you'll burn through all your health pots, and watch your character curl up in agony every time he/she gets hit, unable to move. It's stupid.

Item synthesis was insanely confusing to me, but I don't have a manual...so I can't really comment on that.

The graphics are fine, but that's to be expected nowadays IMO. Nothing you haven't seen.

The bottom line is I don't even think this is worth a spot in your Gamefly que, and certainly not worth a buy.
