Kinect Disneyland Adventures for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

Just like most Kinect games my family and I have previewed, this one is no different. Although the animation and character interaction is spectacular, the Kinect controls/mechanics are still way off. My 7 year old found it too difficult and awkward to control simple things such as walking through the park and finding the locations of the side quests. It does do a good job of emulating the real DisneyLand however, with people getting in your way, and walking around aimlessly trying to find what you are looking for. If it wasn't for the nice animation, and familiarity of the characters to get the kids somewhat intrigued, this game would have been a bust.

Tons of characters, good graphics, huge park area to explore, lots of rides & attractions, great recognition. Only issue with this game is its repetitious nature. You can dance, hi-five, photograph, hug, & get autograph from each character who each has their own fetch half dozen of this or photograph a few pictures of that type quests. There are some unique variations in this formula but not many. The extra super fun bonus addition in the game comes by way of magic items such as a wand or buzz lightyears blaster or stinky Pete's fishing pole, etc. There's like 8 or 10 of these items that all have interactions in each part of the park to use them on. Such as shooting every light, lamp, or other highlighted items with blaster or taking pictures of all the hidden Mickey ear symbols or photo pass spots.even so detailed as to use magic wand on every trash can, manhole cover or quest collection items strewn about. Game can get tedious for completionists but its got plenty of fun rides to break up some of the monotony. Your kids will love it. Being from Florida our only experience is with Disney world, so its very cool to see this replication and interact with it to boot.
