Great Graphics, Lacking Story

I really enjoyed the other Killzone installments and was really looking forward to Shadow FAll. Although the scenery was a huge step up from 1-3's dull color palette the story never drew me in. ( I played only about half way through, so I can't vouch for the entire story or ending). My biggest complaint is that it just had too much going on in the mission. Toggling between the "ghost" robot, shooting, and hacking- I felt spread a bit thin between the objectives.

i give it a 6.5 rounded to 7 for the fact that the graphics are great and the movement of character is very smooth. I like the vita version better had point system for stealth kills and new guns. this one did not. down side to this game is multiplayer is whack, cant prone, not many guns, the acting is PS2 status and the end is weak. An ok rent however I did complete one player mode. but returned right back.

A Console Launch Shooter

Just like the title says, Killzone: Shadow Fall is a launch shooter through and through. It's a pretty game for the most part, up there with other AAA shooters which came out around the same time (Battlefield 4, etc.). I only noticed a few graphical hiccups throughout the 8-10 hour campaign and one instance where I was stuck in a level's geometry.

Shadow Fall's biggest downside is that it does nothing to separate itself from the countless other FPS' that have come out in the past...5 years. It's generic to the core with unlikable characters and a story that leaves you feeling like you wasted your time. This is a Killzone game which means that the signature Killzone gameplay is at work here: Heavy, slow, plodding movement and aiming, cover shooting, and ridiculously omnipotent A.I. enemies.

Play if you're a fan otherwise you're probably good passing.
