This game was 7 to me, the main story is good worth trying out. Multiplayer is pretty much non-progesive system so not really keeping me playing. game is worth renting.

Very Good

Best multiplayer game on the PS4

Skill-based play, fun game modes, lag kept to a minimum. Population is shockingly low, but finding a game isn't too hard. Needs more game modes.

Don't get this for the single player.

Just Not a Killzone Kinda Game

I fell in love with the Killzone series after playing Killzone 2. I thought it was the greatest series ever and that those Xbox fans can shove HALO up their, well you know. Killzone 3 came around and it was just AWESOMENESS. Then my PS3 hit the fan and it just so happened that the PS4 was right around the corner and they followed with the announcement of Killzone Shadow Fall. Fast forward to today, I played it.

I feel betrayed. This is not Killzone. This is some generic FPS that tries to distract you with cool graphics meanwhile the storyline is lacking and balances on a thin wire with its predecessors' story lines. At some points throughout the game you don't even know what to do. The little drone you carry around can be helpful, but I only ever used 2 of it's main functions.

This is not to say that the shooting part of the game is lacking. It's all very mismatched, per say. It kept telling me I had grenades I should use but I hit every button possible and couldn't figure out how to use them. Some enemies have these special electroshields (my name for them) and without the right gun or your drone, consider yourself done for when they find you. Which brings me to another point. How is it possible for the enemy to know where I am if I've yet to enter their area. Immediately they sound the alarm, drop ship comes with reinforcements, I'm dead. Makes no sense that they know where I am no matter what the circumstances.

Overall, I give this game a 7. Sure the story isn't all that good, sure the game strays far from the Killzone storyline, but it's a descent game. I'd recommend you try it out, see what you think of it. Here's to hoping for a real Killzone game in the future iterations of the franchise.
