Really Bad

probally the worst shooter I have ever played

I love shooters, especially first person shooters, I have never had a problem with them, I grew up with Call of Duty and still play it to this day. Now, I have never played a killzone game before, I guess they never sparked my interest. I recently got a ps4 and I wanted a game that would bring a total next gen experience, looked on gamefly and saw this. There aren't many titles available at this moment so I went ahead and rented it. played it for 3 hours, and immediately put it back in the little box thingy. I honestly never done that before with any game. Now the reason your reading this review is to see why the game is good or bad and im going to tell you.
First of all, I didn't think the graphics were as good as people were talking about, they were good don't get me wrong but not what I was expecting at all, The first ten minutes of the campaign had you playing as a very young boy named Lucas, as the city is under attack or whatever, you and your dad have to escape and right off the back I new something was going to happen to the father, and to my surprise it does, but my problem was with the voice acting, When the father was bending down and trying to talk to you, the dialogue was like 3 seconds off from the moving mouth animation. It was very annoying and took away from the experience completely.
gameplay was very clunky, I found myself getting stuck on random objects. Sometimes you will get ahead of the scripted moments because the game is not clear on where to go, so you will be 3 feet away from your dad and he will say "lucas! get over here quik", but your already there. Another problem which isn't really a glitch but more like a developers laziness, Is where you get to a certain part of the game and there is a soda machine that has a very noticeable reflection, but as you stand in front of it your reflection isn't in there but the neon sign behind you is. Overall the game was just a huge cliché and not a very good experience at all, rent it but that's it!

Really Disappointed

Got this game free with my PS4 and was a huge fan of the series.

The story is beyond stupid. It would be like if after we beat the Nazis in WW2 we forcibly moved half of the United States citizens and give the surviving Nazis half of our country to occupy. Then we allow them to have a standing army and treat them like the mass genocidal neighbors that they are. That is literally the plot. They build a big wall though so its all good. Derp.

It gets even dumber than that but at least the first level was very well done. Giant open area to tackle objectives in several ways using the OWL and different gun types. After that though the novelty quickly wore off.

The OWL can be very clunky but it is still a good idea. Some fun levels and zero gravity parts. Helghast are still awesome looking bad guys too. Guns are weighty like the other Killzone games and the graphics are stellar for one of the first real games made for the PS4. This coming from a mainly PC gamer.

5 out of 10 because the graphics are awesome and I still love the Killzone series overall. The ending was terrible too by the way.
