First the game if visually stunning! I have never seen such depth and lighting put into maps. Every map looks so real and there Very large. Theirs always another way to go, and u should always look up down left and right, because you never know when some one has the jump on you till its too late. Second, as far as the game mechanics go theres a learning curve for the joysticks. They made it sluggish to give it more weight and realism. You get used to it eventually. And the cover system is campaign only, why not in MP...who knows!? (War Perfected) I don't think so. However this is still one kick But game and worth picking up.

Killzone 2 is by far the best game I have played on the PS3. The visuals draw you in and the story line keeps you coming back for more. The game is challenging but not extremely tough. The controls do take a while to get used to but once you play the game you will truly understand the reason behind them. IMO, the story seems too short and leaves me wanting more. Luckily, however, there is still alot the game gives in replay value and online play. The atmosphere of the game immerses you from the very beginning. The developers thought about every detail when creating the desolate planet that the ISA invades. I can't wait to beat this game again in Elite mode. Definitely a must buy, if not only for the single player experience.
Lets face it: Since the "next-gen" systems were released, we've been flooded with tons of shooters. You have the good (think: Call of Duty 4). Then you have the bad (Conflict: Denied Ops).
However, Killzone 2's shine can not and will not be ignored.
Guerrilla Games have created an impressively polished, smooth experience. The amazing visuals, rapid gameplay, and fluid animations are almost surreal in quality.
The atmosphere is almost unbelievable. The explosions, the lighting, the smoke, the fire. It all seemed to melt perfectly together to form an eery immersiveness. Trust me, some parts in this game can really take your breath away. Graphically, I haven't seen anything near it's level.
The online play is also no stick-in-the-sand, and provides satisfying matches. I loved that there was a good sense of customization here: there are 7 different classes to choose from, and you can mix and match abilities. Also, the graphics (yeah, again) seemed to display at there level of awesome through all my matches. One more thing; no lag. This was a big surprise, because I thought there would surely have to be some slow-down.
Some other things to mention; no install, tough-as-nails enemies, great AI, and a light, good story.
Now, lets's start the nagging. My only grief with this game is probably the VO. I couldn't get away from it. It kinda sounded like they were just saying their parts, effortlessly at times. Also, there is a bit of a pause when the game is loading, but that's not so much a design flaw, but merely an aggrivation. And the lack of split-screen multiplayer always makes me mad.
Overall, Killzone 2 is a very visceral, mind-blowing ride. Everything's top-notch, with my only complaint being the bland voice-overs. However, you won't find a shooter that plays or looks any better than this. A must have for any PS3 owner.
